Skelly Crag, Foxfield - Temporary Road Closure due to Level Crossing Inspection Works
What is happening?

(U5085 SKELLY CRAG LEVEL CROSSING, FOXFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable inspection works on the Level Crossing to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U5085 Skelly Crag, from its junction with the A595, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 20 metres.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 9th November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 night, during the hours of 0100 and 0535 and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
