Drain Lane, Holme Upon Spalding Moor - Temporary Traffic Regulation

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC PART OF DRAIN
LANE, HOLME UPON SPALDING MOOR

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Drain Lane, Holme Upon Spalding Moor from a point
600 metres from its junction with Bursea Lane north
west bound for approximately 250 metres commencing
21 November 2025 until 29 November 2025 for
the purposes of undertaking bell mouth construction
for the EGL2 power scheme works. The road closure
is necessary to enable the works to be carried out
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
nine days. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the road closure will be via Drain Lane, A614 Howden
Road and Bursea Lane, Holme Upon Spalding Moor
CP, Howdenshire Ward. The diversion route will be
signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed
to all through traffic but access will be maintained for
residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
