What is happening?

DISPOSAL OF PUBLIC OPEN SPACE:
LAND AT WELSH BACK/CROW LANE, BRISTOL.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 AS AMENDED BY THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT PLANNING AND LAND ACT 1980

Disposal of public open space – land on the corner of Welsh Back and Crow Lane, Bristol, BS1 1WH.

  1. Notice is hereby given that Bristol City Council proposes, in accordance with Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by Section 118 of the Local Government Planning and Land Act 1980) to dispose of the freehold interest in land for public realm works and the provision of an Accessible Car Parking Space.
    2. The purpose of the disposal is to enable the redevelopment of the adjoining property known as Waverley House, Crow Lane, City Centre, Bristol, BS1 1WH.
    3. The proposed works to the land will improve the public realm and include the provision of an Accessible Car Parking Space. No works are being undertaken to the existing trees on site and measures will be undertaken to protect these trees. Detailed design proposals can be found under the Planning ref: 24/03137/F on Bristol City Councils Planning Portal.
    4. Full details of this proposal have been deposited together with a plan at the Reception of City Hall, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TR and may be inspected free of charge Monday to Friday, during normal office hours.
    5. Any representations or objections with respect to the proposal must be made in writing to Property Services, Bristol City Council, City Hall, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TR or by email to mail.propertyemail@bristol.gov.uk and should be received no later than 5pm on 20th November 2025. Please use the title of “Land on the corner of Welsh Back and Crow Lane” and state the grounds upon which any representation or objection is made.
