Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) UC 874001 (Part), Longbridge Deverill; from its junction A350 to its property known as No. 38 The Marsh.

B) UC 874002 (Part), Longbridge Deverill; from its junction with UC 874001 for a distance of approximately 35m in a north westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out repair and associated works. Alternative route via UC 874001 (unaffected length) – Sand Street – A350 – UC 874002 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. C) Woolley Street (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its junction with B3107 for a distance of approximately 110m in a north easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out repairs to 3 manhole covers and replace Wessex water valve. Alternative route via Woolley Street (unaffected length) – B3109 – B3107 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation at 09:00 on 17 November 2025 and the closure will be required for 4 days. D) Bests Lane, Sutton Veny; from its junction with Norton Road to its junction with High Street to enable Wessex Internet to carry out cabling and associated works. Alternative route via High Street – Norton Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 and the closure will be required until 28 November 2025. E) Ragleth Grove (Part), Trowbridge; from its property known as No.9 Ragleth Grove to the end of the publicly maintainable highway to enable Openreach to carry out installation of ducting and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation at 08:00 on 17 November 2025 and the closure will be required until 18:00 on 19 November 2025. F) Foundry Road (Part), Malmesbury; from its junction with Shipton Hill for a distance of approximately 58m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out duct customer service of works and other associated works. Alternative route via Shipton Hill – Gloucester Road – Bristol Street – Harpers Lane – West Street (one-way) – West Street – Burnham Road – Foundry Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 November 2025 and the closure will be required for 1 day. For further information please contact Openreach on 0800 023 2023.

G) A350 (Part), Longbridge Deverill and Warminster; from its junction with Dry Hill to its roundabout junction with A36 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A36 – A303 – A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 21 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

H) C217 (Part), Westwood; for a distance of approximately 50m north of its junction with Orchard Close.

I) Orchard Close (Part), Westwood; from its junction with C217 for a distance of approximately 50m in a northerly direction to enable Wales & West Utilities Ltd to carry out gas main replacement and associated works. Alternative route via C217 (unaffected length) – C222 – C217 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 October 2025 and the closure will be required until 1 November 2025. J) A361 (Part), Holt; from its junction with East Lane to its junction with Melksham Road to enable Wales & West Utilities Ltd to carry out renewal of gas main and associated works. Alternative route via B3107 – B3105 – A365 – A3109 – A365 – B3105 – B3107 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 October 2025 and the closure will be required until 11 November 2025. For further information please contact Wales & West Utilities Ltd on 07797591898.

K) A361 (Part) Eastbound Carriageway, Trowbridge; from its junction with Mortimer Street to carry out carriageway and strom in an easterly direction.

L) A361 (Part) Westbound Carriageway, Trowbridge; from its junction with the entrance to Tesco Extra for a distance of approximately 280m in a westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via K Bythesea Road – B3106 – C373 – Elizabeth Way – A361 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route via A361 (unaffected length) – West Ashton Road – Broadcloth Lane East – Broadcloth Lane – Weavers Drive – Redland Road – Orchard Grove – Thorn Street and vice versa. Alternative route C via Mortimer Street – Castle Street – Fore Street – B3106 – C373 – B3106 – Elizabeth Way – A361 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 weekdays only until 10 November 2025. For further information please contact Wiltshire Council on 07803 937539. Orders A) to L) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (BRADFORD ON AVON) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, PROHIBITION OF STOPPING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2025

(previously advertised as The County of Wiltshire (Bradford on Avon) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Prohibition of Stopping, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2024 (Amendment No.3) Order 2025)

Notice is hereby given that on 15th October 2025 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act of 1984") and the Traffic Management Act 2004. The effect of the Order is to revoke the County of Wiltshire (Bradford on Avon) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Prohibition of Stopping, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2024 (Amendment No.2), re-enact its provisions and make changes as follows:

To amend the existing Parking Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 1 hour No return within 1 hour Permit Holders and introduce Parking Mon-Sat 8am-6pm Permit Holders & 1 hour No return within 1 hour

on B3107 Woolley Street – north side – from the eastern boundary of No.19 Woolley Street to the western building line of No.10 Woolley Street; and to remove a 10 metres west of its eastern junction with Holt Road for a distance of 18 metres in a westerly direction. To carry out an administrative change to bring the waiting place on the south side of Newtown Parking on the Fore Road at St Margaret’s Street to Parking Mon-Sat 8am-8pm Permit Holders & 2 hours No return within 2 hours, except disabled badge holders and to shorten the parking on the north side of Market Street for the eligibility for Zone A (unchanged) and to include within the Order the eligibility of Zone B as: Silver Street – Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, 15 Silver Street – Nos. 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23, Woolley Street – House Nos. 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 13, 15 and 17. A copy of the Order and plan may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Order who wishes to question the validity of the order or any of the provisions contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act of 1984 or any regulation made under the Act of 1984 has not been complied with, may within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 27 October 2025.
