ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(WOBURN ROAD, HEATH & REACH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has

made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Woburn Road, Heath & Reach from Birds Hill to A5.

This temporary closure is required to enable footway improvement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 3 November to 12 December 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Birds Hill, Eastern Way, Watling Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 3 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(BILLINGTON ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Billington Road, Leighton Buzzard at the junction of Billington Road and The Maltings.

This temporary closure is required to enable manhole repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 7pm on 4 November 2025 to 5am on 5 November 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Billington Road, A4146, A4014 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING

TO INTRODUCE WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON

ST ANDREWS STREET, LEIGHTON BUZZARD

On 21st October 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Leighton Buzzard:-

1.  St Andrews Street, north-west side, from a point in line with the south-western flank wall belonging to No. 2 St Andrews Street and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 29 metres, ending in line with rear property wall belonging to No. 5 Colton Mews.

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Bedfordshire County Council (District of South Bedfordshire) (Civil Enforcement Area and Special Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2008) (Variation No.41) Order 2025

Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 4th November 2025. Details will be provided on request by e-mailing highways.consultation@centralbedfordshire. gov.uk.

High Court Challenge:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Section had not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of 21st October 2025, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
