Hove - Temporary Road Closures and Suspension of One-Way Order due to Installation of High Voltage Electricity Cables

What is happening?

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – FARM ROAD & BRUNSWICK PLACE, HOVE

  1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

    The following will be carried out in phases, and will only be in force as and when signed:-

    (a) The temporary closure of Farm Road at its junction with Lansdowne Road.

    (b) To maintain access during this phase, it will be necessary to suspend the one-way order on Farm Road.

    (c) The temporary closure of Brunswick Place at its junction with Lansdowne Road.

  2. The Order is necessary to allow the installation of new High Voltage Electricity Cables

  3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.

  4. This Order comes into force on 14 November 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed.
