BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – MIDDLE STREET, BRIGHTON

  1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 22 October 2025 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-

    (a) The temporary closure of Middle Street from its junction with Boyces Street to its junction at Duke Street.

    (b) To maintain access during this closure it will be necessary to reverse the One-Way Order on Ship Street from its junction with Kings Road to its junction at Duke Street.

  2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors working on behalf of Southern Water repair a collapsed sewer.

  3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.

  4. This Order comes into force on 27 October 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed.
