1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 22 October 2025, made the above-mentioned Orders under the powers conferred by sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
2. The general effect of the ‘Pedal Cycles Order’ will be to provide a secure bicycle parking facility (fully enclosed bike hangar measuring 2.6 metres in length and 2 metres in width for a maximum of 6 pedal cycles) at each of the locations specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
3. The general effect of the ‘Parking Places Amendment’ Orders will be to remove existing lengths of certain of the parking places referred to in the Schedule to this Notice to facilitate the introduction of bike hangars.
4. The general effect of the ‘Free Parking Places’ Order will be to remove a redundant disabled persons parking place in Chilmark Road to facilitate a bike hangar.
5. The general effect of the other ‘Parking Places’ Orders will be to remove existing lengths of parking place in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice to accommodate the introduction of pedal cycle hire parking places.
6. A copy of the Orders, which will come into force on 24 October 2025, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans specifying the roads or lengths of road affected by the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(DUNDONALD ROAD AND HARTFIELD CRESCENT, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate tram track maintenance works at the Dundonald Road / Hartfield Crescent tram crossing, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in Dundonald Road and in Hartfield Crescent.
2. Whilst the works take place no person will:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:-
(i) Dundonald Road, between its junction with Hartfield Crescent and the north-east kerb-line of the service road leading to the Wimbledon West Goods Yard; and
(ii) Hartfield Crescent, between its junction with Dundonald Road and a point 2 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 64 and 66 Hartfield Crescent;
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the roads of lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs (a)(i) and (ii) above.
3. During the works, the width restriction outside No. 14 Dundonald Road will be suspended.
4. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road will be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed as follows:-
(a) north-eastbound via Fairlawn Road, Wilton Crescent, Kingston Road and Hartfield Road; or
(b) south-westbound via Hartfield Road, The Broadway, Sir Cyril Black Way, Hartfield Road, Kingston Road, Wilton Crescent and Fairlawn Road.
7. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) Anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
9. The Order will apply from Thursday 30th October 2025 until Sunday 2nd November 2025 inclusive. It is anticipated the works will be carried out during the following times:-
(a) between 10pm on Thursday 30th October and 6am on Friday 31st October 2025;
(b) between 10pm on Friday 31st October and 6pm on Saturday 1st November 2025;
(c) between 11pm on Saturday 1st November and 8am on Sunday 2nd November 2025;
(d)between 8pm and 11pm on Sunday 2nd November 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(ROTHESAY AVENUE, SW20)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC)
(NO. 2) ORDER 2025
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate critical fire safety remedial works at No. 1A Rothesay Avenue, SW20, (St George’s Court) they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary waiting and loading restrictions in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in Rothesay Avenue, the north-east side, from its junction with Kingston Road, north-westward for a distance of 40 metres.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. The Order will come into operation on Friday 24 October 2025 will remain in force for 3 months.
