Hertfordshire - Temporary Road Closures and Waiting Restrictions due to Works

What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

25. that length of Williams Church Road, Willian from its westernmost junction with Willian Road south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 296m.

An alternative route will be via Willian Road.

26. that length of Dukes Lane, Hitchin from its junction with York Road north eastwards to its junction with Ickleford Road, a distance of approximately 140m.

An alternative route will be via York Road, Bearton Road and Ickleford Road.

27. that length of Fullers Court, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Valley Road south eastwards, north eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 57m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

28. that length of Primrose Hill Road, Stevenage from its junction with Pound Avenue north westwards to its junction with Haycroft Road, a distance of approximately 132m.

An alternative route will be via Pound Avenue, Letchmore Road and Haycroft Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN WREN CLOSE AND THE ROAD LEADING TO NOS. 41–45 STIRLING CLOSE, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:

1. that length of Wren Close, Stevenage from its junction with Telford Avenue south westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. the road leading to Nos. 41–45 Stirling Close, Stevenage from its junction with Stirling Close southwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

(ARENA PARADE, LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY)

(ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce a one-way Order in part of Letchworth Garden City as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Friday 24 October 2025.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order may be viewed from 23 October 2025 to 4 December 2025 during office hours at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford or online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting North Herts and looking at Ref: NH00325.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the 1984 Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

SCHEDULE: One Way Traffic westbound — that section of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – The entire length of Arena Parade.
