C1087 Pig Street to Norton Canon, Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order:
C1087 Pig Street To Norton Canon, Norton Canon, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1087 Pig Street To Norton Canon, Norton Canon, between Penny Plock and the junction with the C1088. Grid Ref: 337495/247543.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1087 onto Kittys Lane, onto the A480, onto the C1087 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to bridge inspection works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on
13th of November 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
