Notice of Further Information to Accompany the HS2 Phase One (London – West Midlands) Environmental Statement and a Schedule 17 Plans and Specifications Submission application submitted by HS2 Limited reference 25/02532/SCH17 on the 26/09/2025. The Plans and Specifications application relates to HS2 proposals for earthworks and structures impacting the section of line from Newton Purcell to Finmere. The further information concerns the extended temporary closure of eight Public Rights of Way (PRoW).
Members of the public may inspect copies of:
• the further environmental statement along with the original HS2 Phase 1 Environmental Statement and other documents submitted with the application
at Cherwell District Council, 39 Castle Quay, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 5FD between the hours of 8.45am - 5.15pm Monday to Friday inclusive during the period of 30 days beginning with the date of this notice. Details of the application are available to view through the Council’s website via the Online Planning Service at https://planningregister.cherwell.gov.uk/
. Then enter the planning reference provided (25/02532/SCH17). Please be advised that details of the application may be amended at any time before a final decision is issued and you are advised to monitor the application’s progress via the Online Planning Service where amended plans will be posted. I give notice that Firethorn Group Developments Ltd have applied to Cherwell District Council on 9 September 2025 for planning permission for “Reserved matters application for phases 2 and 3 of 21/01630/OUT – Details of appearance, landscaping, layout and scale relating to the proposed development of 392 residential dwellings, an extension to an associated development, plus associated car parking” and that application was accompanied by an environmental statement.
This is a “subsequent application” development.
