Multiple Roads, Gosport - Temporary Road Restrictions due to Gosport Half Marathon

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 to allow the Gosport Half Marathon to take place out on or near the road. 
ROADS TO HAVE A ONE-WAY SYSTEM: a one-way system will be implemented on the following roads in an eastward direction:  Crofton Avenue between its junction with Stubbington Lane and its junction with Sea Lane. To allow access for residents from Sea Lane (from approximately 08:00 to 12.45). 
ROADS TO BE CLOSED:  Browndown Road between its junction with Privett Road and its junction with Gomer Lane (Closed between 08:30 and 14:00).  Salterns Road between its junction with Crofton Ave and its junction with Salterns car park (from approximately 10.00 to 12.45). There will be no access to Monks Hill public car park for the duration of the race.     Privett Road (westbound carriageway only) between its junction with Cherque Way and its junction with Grange Road.  (08:00-12:45)    
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:   N/A. Access will be maintained to allow access to Kingfisher caravan park, which will always remain except for a period of approximately 15 minutes from 10:00 to 10:15 for the start of the race, as well as access to the beach huts off Salterns Road.  DURATION OF ORDER: from Sunday 16th November 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the event whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day working between the hours 08:00-13:00).
