NOTICE OF PROPOSED NEW ZEBRA CROSSINGS
& CONVERSION OF EXISTING CROSSINGS TO
TOUCAN CROSSINGS
ALDAMS ROAD, SOUTH STREET, LINK ROAD, DEWSBURY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Kirklees Council
propose to carry out under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Act 1984, as amended, the following works at the following locations:
Crossing No. Crossing Description
1 A638 Aldams Road, Dewsbury
Existing crossing converted to a Toucan Crossing on Aldams Road, Dewsbury east bound carriageway. The centre line of the crossing is 45 metres from the eastern kerb of the unnamed Bus Station Access Road with associated zig zag markings extending 35m to the west and 21m to the east of the centre of the crossing.
2 A638 Aldams Road, Dewsbury
Existing crossing converted to a Toucan Crossing on Aldams Road, Dewsbury west bound carriageway. The centre line of the crossing is 39 metres west from the eastern kerb of the unnamed Bus Station Access Road with associated zig zag markings extending 22m to the west and 21.5m to the east of the centre of the crossing.
3 Unnamed Bus Station Access Road, Dewsbury
New Zebra/Parallel crossing on the Access Road. The centreline of the crossing is 10m northeast of the northern kerbline of the junction with Aldams Road with associated zig zag markings extending to the junction with Aldams Road.
4 South Street, Dewsbury
New Zebra Crossing on South Street, Dewsbury. The centre line of the crossing is 3 metres southwest of the northeastern boundary of no. 20 South Street, with associated zig zag markings extending 20m to the southwest and 14m to the northeast of the centre of the crossing.
5 Link Road, Dewsbury
New Zebra Crossing on Link Road, Dewsbury. The centre line of the crossing is 10 metres southwest of the projected eastern boundary of no. no. 2 Link Road, with associated zig zag markings extending 17m to the southwest and 28m to the northeast of the centre of the crossing.
