What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF
BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN
(GIB LANE, BLACKBURN)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council intend to make the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to close Gib Lane to the following extent:
BETWEEN RISEDALE GROVE AND BROKEN STONE ROAD.
The closure is necessary for the following reason: SAFE WORKING AREA The Order will come into force on 3rd November 2025 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28th November 2025.
The alternative route for the affected traffic will be Gib Lane, Livesey Branch Road, Horden Rake, Broken Stone Road
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
