What is happening?

Highways

 

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

 

A25 Maidstone Road, St Mary’s Platt, TN15 8JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow bridge survey, drainage and CCTV works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A25 Maidstone Road, St Mary’s Platt, on or after 9th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, between the hours of 01:00 9th November 2025 and 04:00 10th November 2025 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A25 Maidstone Road, Station Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 Wrotham Bypass, A20 London Road, Wrotham Heath Roundabout, A20 London Road, A25 Maidstone Road and vice versa.

 

A227 Tonbridge Road, Ightham, TN15 9AL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A227 Tonbridge Road, Ightham, on or after 23rd November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Rectory Lane to the junction with Ismays Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A227 Tonbridge Road, A227 Bates Hill, A227 The Street, A227 Borough Green Road, A25 Sevenoaks Road, A25 Maidstone Road, A20 London Road, A228 Ashton Way, A228 Malling Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 Maidstone Road, A26 The Square, A26 High Street, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Cornwallis Avenue, A26 Hadlow Road, A227 Bordyke, A227 High Street, A227 Shipbourne Road, A227 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.

 

A2014 Vauxhall Lane (Westbound), Tonbridge, TN11 0NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A2014 Vauxhall Lane (Westbound), Tonbridge, on or after 19th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Vauxhall roundabout to the A21 Entry-slip, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2014 Pembury Road and A26 Quarry Hill Road.

 

Danvers Road, Tonbridge, TN9 1TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, PROHIBITION OF PARKING & SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow sewer repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Danvers Road, Tonbridge, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

Danvers Road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Holford Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Parking on Danvers Road will be prohibited between property numbers 35 and 41. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The one-way order on Danvers Road will be suspended to allow for access.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Holford Street, Barden Road, Danvers Road and vice versa.

 

Dodd Road, Higham Wood, TN10 4AZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dodd Road, Higham Wood, on or after 17th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between property numbers 11 and 21, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dodd Road, Martin Hardie Way, Turner Road, Dodd Road and vice versa.

 

Fen Pond Road, Ightham, TN15 9JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Fen Pond Road, Ightham, on or after 17th November 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 49. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Fen Pond Road, A227 Borough Green Road, A25 Sevenoaks Road, A227 Western Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Borough Green Road, Kemsing Road, Fen Pond Road and vice versa.

 

Hartlake Road, Golden Green, TN11 0AZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pumping station maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hartlake Road, Golden Green, on or after 19th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Three Elm Lane, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Three Elm Lane, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Cornwallis Avenue, A26 Hadlow Road, A26 Cannon Lane, A26 Vale Road, A26 Vale Rise, A26 Woodgate Way, B2017 Tudeley Road, Hartlake Road and vice versa.

 

High House Lane, Hadlow, TN11 9RD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High House Lane, Hadlow, on or after 17th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Carpenters Lane to the junction with Ashes Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ashes Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 High Street, Carpenters Lane and vice versa.

 

Lower Street, Hildenborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow a new electric supply to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Street, Hildenborough, on or after 9th November 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Reams Farm Cottages and Dove Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Street, Rings Hill, Philpots Lane, Lower Street and vice versa.

 

Mills Road, Aylesford, ME20 7NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mills Road, Aylesford, on or after 17th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of unit 10 to unit 14, between the hours of 19:30 and 05:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mills Road, Lake Road, Wealden Way and vice versa.

 

Mote Road, Ivy Hatch, TN15 0NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mote Road, Ivy Hatch, on or after 19th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with High Cross Road to property named Ashwell, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Cross Road, A227 Tonbridge Road, Hildenborough Road, Mote Road and vice versa.

 

Pilgrims Way, Wouldham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Wouldham, on or after 4th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Ringshill House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Burham Road, Wouldham Road, Rochester Road, High Street, School Lane, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

 

Rochester Road, Aylesford, ME20 7EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rochester Road, Aylesford, on or after 23rd November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 180. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rochester Road, Pilgrims Way, Bull Lane, High Street, Rochester Road and vice versa.

 

Sweets Lane, East Malling, ME19 6JF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new electric connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sweets Lane, East Malling, on or after 17th November 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 5. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wateringbury Road, Gilletts Lane, The Rocks Road, Sweets Lane and vice versa.

 

Tonbridge Road, East Peckham (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to impose a 30 MPH speed limit on part of Tonbridge Road, East Peckham, on or after 5th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

A 30 MPH speed limit will be imposed from Little Mill Cottage for a distance of approximately 257 meters in an East direction.  To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

Tudeley Lane, Tonbridge, TN9 2JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tudeley Lane, Tonbridge, on or after 19th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 9, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tudeley Lane, Lodge Oak Lane, Kings Road, Goldsmid Road, A2014 Pembury Road, Tudeley Lane and vice versa.

 

Uridge Crescent, Tonbridge, TN10 3BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Uridge Crescent, Tonbridge, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 5. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The one-way order on Uridge Crescent will be suspended to allow for access.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Uridge Road, A227 Shipbourne Road, Welland Road and vice versa.
