Oxford - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Resurfacing Works

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Oxford, Stanway Road
Prohibition of Vehicles
Date of Order: 20 October 2025
Coming into force: 27 October 2025
This Order is being introduced because of Micro Asphalt resurfacing works which are anticipated to be completed 31 October 2025. This will operate between 07:30 and 17:00hrs.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting or loading in Stanway Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Grovelands Road – Kiln Lane – Ridgefield Road – London Road – Collinwood and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16588/AC)

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting
Date of Order: 13 October 2025
Coming into force: 20 October 2025
This Order is being introduced because of Micro Asphalt resurfacing works. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding or waiting in parts of various roads as to the following schedule, working between 07:30 and 17:00hrs:
20 – 31 October – Clematis Place Blackbird Leys; Swinbourne Road & Clive Road & Warwick Street & Taverner Place.
27 – 31 October – Parker Street & Outram Road & Lawrence Road & Havelock Road; Rest Harrow & Harebell Road & Crowberry Road Blackbird Leys; Croft Road & Farmer Place & Stainer Place & Heather Place Marston.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative routes for traffic affected will be signed locally.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
