ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8243 SIDGATE FOOTWAY NEWBROUGH (TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U8243 Sidgate Footway from its northern junction with U8243 Sidgate heading in a southwards direction for a distance of 35 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 17th November 2025 until the 5th December 2025.

It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 17th November 2025 until the 21st November 2025 – the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 5th December 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U8243, U8138, U8243 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to excavate to carry out a full relay. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

B6306 EASTGATE HEXHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6306 Eastgate Hexham 63 metres southwards from its junction with B6305 Cattle Market heading further southwards for a distance of 237 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 30th October 2025 until the 3rd November 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 30th October 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 3rd November 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B6306, B6307, A695, B6305 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Total Resources for tree felling. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U5039 BOAT ROAD BELLINGHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U5039 Boat Road Bellingham from its northern junction with Bellingham Tynedale District Footpath 016 heading in a south eastwards direction for a distance of 112 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 3rd November 2025 until the 28th November 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 3rd November 2025 until the 6th November 2025 between the hours of 09:30 to 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 28th November 2025.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to remove defects to the carriageway and verge. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8238 THE RIGGS, CORBRIDGE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8238 The Riggs Corbridge from its junction with U8238 Chantry heading in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 230 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 30th October 2025 until the 7th November 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 30th October 2025 until the 31st October 2025 between the hours of 08:00 & 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 7th November 2025.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

PARISH OF FALSTONE (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO 23) DIVERSION ORDER (NO 1) 2025

The above Order was made on 8th October 2025, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order will be as follows:-

Public Footpath No 23 (Parish of Falstone)

Public Footpath No 23 (Parish of Falstone)

To extinguish the footpath from a point on Parish of Falstone Public Footpath No 23, at the north end of the Craneclough Burn bridge on the Lakeside Way, (OS grid ref: NY 6663 8618), in a general easterly direction for 890 metres, to point on footpath 23, 425m north-west of Whickhope Jetty (NY 6744 8632).

To create a 2 metre wide footpath on the Kielder Lakeside Way from a point on Parish of Falstone Public Footpath No 23, at the north end of the Craneclough Burn bridge, on the Lakeside Way, (NY 6663 8618), in a northerly direction via the zig-zag path for 335 metres, then easterly for 825 metres to point on footpath 23, 425m north-west of Whickhope Jetty (NY 6744 8632).

These details are shown on the Order maps. A copy of the Order and maps have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Council Offices of Hexham Library, Queens Hall, Beaumont Street, Hexham, NE46 3LS and at Main Reception, County Hall, Morpeth, during normal working hours. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Northumberland County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representation and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(B)

B6545 ROTARY WAY, A696 PONTELAND ROAD, A696 COUNTY BOUNDARY TO PONTELAND ROAD, PONTELAND AND C354 PRESTWICK ROUNDABOUT TO DINNINGTON, PRESTWICK TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have on the 10th of October 2025 made an Order under Section 14 (1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This is in accordance with section 15(8) of said Act and Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions will continue to be in force:

“No waiting and loading at any time” Parking Restrictions:

  • B6545 Rotary Way from its junction with County Boundary to Ponteland Road heading westwards for a distance of 390 metres.

  • A696 Ponteland Road from its junction with County Boundary to Ponteland Road heading northwards for a distance of 55 metres.

  • A696 County Boundary to Ponteland Road from its junction with Ponteland Road heading southwards for a distance of 590 metres.

  • C354 Prestwick Roundabout to Dinnington from its junction with County Boundary to Ponteland Road heading north eastwards for a distance of 700 metres.

“No waiting at any time” Parking Restrictions:

  • C354 Prestwick Roundabout to Dinnington from its junction with Ponteland Castle Morpeth Footpath 012 heading eastwards for a distance of 460 metres.

The restrictions were requested by Northumberland County Council due to the likelihood of danger to the public caused by dangerous parking on the Roads which causes drivers’ visibility and causes obstructions.

This Order came into force on the 13th October 2025 and will remain in force until the 30th June 2026

(HEXHAM SPOOK NIGHT 2025) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has made on the 15th October 2025 the Northumberland County Council (Hexham Spook Night 2025) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025 (“the TTRO”).

The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Hexham Spook Night 2025 (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on the U8290 Beaumont Street for its entire length of 245 metres and the U8290 Market Place for its entire length of 34 metres in Hexham (“the Road”).

The TTRO shall come into force at 6:00 hours on the 25th October 2025 and will remain in force until 23:59 hours on the 25th October 2025, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the B6305, the A6079, Alemouth Road, Haugh Lane and vice versa, Alexander Place, Giles Place, Gilesgate, Market Street, Hastile bank and vice versa and the B6305, the B6531, Ellangaste and vice versa in Hexham and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.

Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:

a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;

b. Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.

c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;

d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supply of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or

e. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.
