Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

 

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

DOVER AREA

 

Archers Court Road, Whitfield, CT16 3NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow roadworks to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Archers Court Road, Whitfield, on or after 17th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Cranleigh Drive, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Archers Court Road, Church Whitfield Road, Napchester Road, Sandwich Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Barnsole Road, Staple, CT3 1LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Barnsole Road, Staple, on or after 17th November 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Chalk House Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chalkpit Lane, Barnsole Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Churchill Street, Dover, CT16 9ED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Churchill Street, Dover, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside number 19 to the junction of A256 London Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A256 London Road, Beaconsfield Road, Bartholomew Street and Churchill Street.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Churchill Street, Bartholomew Street, Beaconsfield Road, Granville Street, Bridge Street and A256 London Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Felderland Lane, Worth, CT14 0BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Felderland Lane, Worth, on or after 5th November 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of A258 Deal Road to outside Cresswell Nurseries and from the junction of A258 Deal Road to Cannon Barn, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Felderland Lane, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Grove Road, Preston, CT3 1FU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway repair and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grove Road, Preston, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the sewage pumping station to where the culvert carries Grove Road over watercourse, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grove Road, Stourmouth Road, Preston Road, The Street, Plucks Gutter, Gore Street, A253 Ramsgate Road, A28 Canterbury Road, A28 Island Road, Grove Ferry Hill, Grove Ferry Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Liverpool Road, Walmer, CT14 7HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Liverpool Road, Walmer, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Cambridge Road and Grove Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Liverpool Road, A258 Dover Road, Cambridge Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Market Street & The Butchery, Sandwich, CT13 9EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Market Street & The Butchery, Sandwich, on or after 18th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

Restrictions will be imposed between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only.

Market Street will be closed outside Finns Estate Agents, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The one-way Order for The Butchery will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via King Street, Galliard Street, New Street, Cattle Market, Harnet Street, The Butchery and Market Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Park Street, Deal, CT14 7GD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Street, Deal, on or after 17th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of West Street to outside Hardmans Solicitors, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via West Street, Stanhope Road, High Street. Park Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Straight Mile, Betteshanger, CT14 0FH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Straight Mile, Betteshanger, on or after 5th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Cater Road and A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Straight Mile, Northbourne Lane, Northbourne Road, A256 Eastry Bypass and A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A256 Whitfield Bypass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Eastry Bypass and A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Eastry Bypass, Northbourne Road, Northbourne Lane and Straight Mile.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Street, Worth, CT14 0BZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Worth, on or after 17th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Trees, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, A258 Deal Road, Jubilee Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
