Temporary Closure of Station Road, Wool
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Station Road, Wool from its junction with B3070 to the service road outside Wool Train Station (in both directions), a distance of approximately 70 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 14 November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 November 2025.
This Order will provide Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd with safe access to replace the station footbridge using a crane.

Temporary Closure of Catherines Well, Milton Abbas
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 11 November 2025 and remain in force for 18 months however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13 November 2025.
The Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of the order is as follows:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Catherines Well, Milton Abbas between 4 Middleton Row, Catherines Well and 36a Catherines Well (in both directions) a distance of approximately 140 metres. There will be no alternative route on this occasion, however pedestrian access will be maintained. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site.
[2] Advance warning signs will be placed at no less than two weeks advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.
[2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site, to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Catherines Well, Milton Abbas, between 4 Middleton Row, Catherines Well and 36a Catherines Well (in both directions) a distance of approximately 140 metres. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of parking suspension may be towed away under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of Barrowland Lane, Toller Porcorum
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 03 November 2025 and remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 05 November 2025.
The Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works.
The effect of the Order is as follows:
[1] To impose a temporary road closure on BARROWLAND LANE, TOLLER PORCORUM, from approximately 2135 metres west of its junction with Shatcombe Lane, a distance of approximately 2135 metres.
[2] To impose a temporary clearway suspension, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent parking on the highway along BARROWLAND LANE, TOLLER PORCORUM, between its junction with High Street and its junction with Shatcombe Lane, a distance of approximately 2135 metres.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel in both directions.

Temporary Closure of Unnamed Road, West Compton
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along UNNAMED ROAD, WEST COMPTON between its junction with Eggardon Hill Farm Lane and the entrance to Higher Wynford House, a distance of approximately 1605 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 0930 and 1530 on 10 November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 10 November 2025.
This Order will enable Openreach, safe access to carry out 15 spans of cabling works. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using: Roman Road - Shatcombe Lane.

The County of Dorset (Various Roads, Okeford Fitzpaine) (20mph Speed Limit) (No. 4) Order 2025
Dorset Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
When the Order comes into operation on 31 October 2025 the effect of the Order will be to introduce 20mph speed limits along sections of various roads in Okeford Fitzpaine (details of the locations can be found on our website, details below).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset proposes to make the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
The general effect of the Order will be to add a traffic regulation order for High Angle Battery Car Park, Portland. The TRO will add a maximum waiting time of 2 hours with no return within 24 hours and prohibit moments between the hours of 10pm and 8am.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 31 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 October 2025.
The Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Mount Skippet Way, Crossways from junction with West Lane Road and B3390 Warmwell Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 435 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site.
[2] Advance warning signs will be placed on the road two weeks advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CHURCH STREET, UPWEY between its junction with Elwell Street and Upwey Hill, a distance of approximately 585 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 27 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 7 November 2025.
This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to line the sewer using no dig methods to prevent infiltration.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 26 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29 October 2025.
The road will be closed daily, between the hours of 08.00-18.00 and 09.00 start on Sundays, and will be re-opened to traffic overnight.
This Order will enable Colas & Dorset Council to carry out essential highway maintenance works.
The effect of this Order will be:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Cowleaze for its entirety.
[2] To impose temporary clearway on Cowleaze for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works.
Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed. Emergency access will be maintained.
