Dorset, Multiple Road Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
Temporary Closure of Livingstone Road, Wimborne Minster
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Livingstone Road, Wimborne Minster between Barnes Crescent and Brook Road, a distance of approximately 110 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5 November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 14 November 2025. This Order will enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution safe access to carry out electric network reinforcement works. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Temporary Closure of Dullar Lane, Sturminster Marshall
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles, cyclists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along Dullar Lane, Sturminster Marshall between A31 and 20 Dullar Lane, a distance of approximately 530 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 10 November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 21 November 2025. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out new connection works. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
