What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS - 20 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION IN OVER WALLOP VILLAGE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council ("the Council") proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 84 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part II of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: will be to implement a 20 miles per hour speed limit on: (i) Evens Close between a point 10 metres north-east of its junction with Station Road to south-easterly point of termination, an approximate distance of 170 metres (ii) King Lane between its junction with Station Road and a point 378 metres north (iii) Salisbury Lane between its junction with Station Road and a point 465 metres south east thereof (iv) Station Road between a point 10 metres north-west of its junction with Appleton Close and a point 806 metres south-east of that point (v) Appleton Close (including a spur and Cul-de-sac) (vi) King Lane Cottages (vii) Pound Road

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS: All objections/other representations in respect of the proposed Order must be made in writing to the Head of Legal Services, Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ quoting reference: C8747/KK by Friday 14th November 2025. All objections/representations must state the grounds on which they are made and include a daytime telephone number and email address if available. Any representations may be communicated to other persons and by submitting representations you consent to this.
