What is happening?
THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS ROADS, AMBLESIDE) (CONSOLIDATION OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS) ORDER 2023 (VARIATION NO.1 202<>)
Westmorland and Furness Council hereby give notice that it proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (4), 32, 35, 35A, 47, 49 and 64 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the proposed Order will be to make the following changes to the parking restrictions on the U5540 Stockghyll Lane, Ambleside: –
i) Shorten the existing Disc Parking 10am–6pm 1 hour no return with 1 hour parking bay by 19m; and
ii) Increase the length of No Waiting at Any Time (double yellow line) restrictions north and south of the above parking bay by 9m and 10m respectively.

Full details of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the lengths of road concerned, and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be: –
