What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE A1152 WILFORD BRIDGE, MELTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A1152 Wilford Bridge, Melton from the level crossing for 20 metres westbound and 20 metres eastbound to facilitate level crossing renewal works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1152, the B1069, the B1078, the A12, the A1152 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

1.10pm on 24/10/2025 - 6am on 29/10/2025

2.7pm on 09/11/2025 - 6am on 10/11/2025

3.8pm on 05/12/2025 - 6pm on 06/12/2025.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U2401 FORDLEY ROAD, MIDDLETON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2401 Fordley Road, Middleton from Oakfield House for 135 metres westbound to facilitate the installation of ducts and chambers. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Littlemoor Road, the B1122 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/11/2025 - 14/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE C431 RECREATION ROAD, STOWMARKET

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C431 Recreation Road, Stowmarket from the junction with Chilton Avenue to the junction with Curwen Road to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Recreation Road, Violet Hill, the A1308, Station Road West, Tavern Street, Finborough Road, Recreation Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/11/2025 - 04/11/2025 from 9.30am - 2.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE FOOTWAY BETWEEN

SPINNER CLOSE AND WEAVER CLOSE, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the Footway between Spinner Close and Weaver Close, Ipswich from no. 8 Spinner Close to no. 21 Weaver Close to facilitate ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Weaver Close, Bramford Road, Spinner Close and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/11/2025 - 07/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U2662 HENSLOW ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2662 Henslow Road, Ipswich from no. 127 for 30 metres southbound to facilitate laying a water pipe. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Freehold Road, Parliament Road, Foxhall Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/11/2025 - 06/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON THE U1069 PRINCES STREET AND U1063 QUEEN STREET, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1069 Princes Street, Ipswich from 55 metres southwest of the junction with King Street for 25 metres south westbound to facilitate repairs to a water pipe. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Friars Street with no vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the one-way provision on the:

  • U1069 Princes Street

  • U1063 Queen Street.

    This is to allow access and egress.

    It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/11/2025 - 07/11/2025, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1308 SCHOOL ROAD, WESTHALL

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1308 School Road, Westhall from 400 metres north of the junction with The Danger for 40 metres northbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Gull Hill, The Danger, Hares Lane, Wangford Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/11/2025 - 05/11/2025, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE STREET, PADLEY WATER AND ORFORD ROAD, CHILLESFORD AND BUTLEY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • B1084 The Street, Chillesford

  • B1084, Chillesford

  • B1084 Padley Water, Chillesford

  • B1084 Orford Road, Butley.

This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other coordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1084, the A1152, the B1078, the B1084 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/11/2025 - 07/11/2025 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4143 CHURCH ROAD, CHELMONDISTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4143 Church Road, Chelmondiston from the junction with the B1456 to no. 2 to facilitate an excavation for a new water main installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Church Road, Collimer Close, Woodlands, the B1456 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/11/2025 - 07/11/2025, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1501 BANHAM ROAD, BECCLES

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1501 Banham Road, Beccles from 30 metres south of the junction with Coney Hill for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a water meter replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Banham Road, Duke Street, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Coney Hill and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/11/2025 - 07/11/2025, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2608 WARWICK ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2608 Warwick Road, Ipswich from Lancaster Road for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a stop tap replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Woodbridge Road, Palmerston Road, St Helens Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/11/2025 - 04/11/2025, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF NO LEFT TURN ON PART OF THE B1115 STATION ROAD WEST, TAVERN STREET AND FINBOROUGH ROAD AND THE U5439 MARKET PLACE, STOWMARKET

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • B1115 Station Road West, Stowmarket

  • B1115 Tavern Street, Stowmarket

  • B1115 Finborough Road, Stowmarket from Tavern Street to Iliffe Way.

This is to facilitate a water pipe repair. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1308, Bury Road, Chilton Way, Onehouse Road and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the no left turn provision on the U4539 Market Place, Stowmarket to allow access and egress.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 04/11/2025 to 6am on 05/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C312 TOP ROAD, HASKETON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C312 Top Road, Hasketon from the junction with Church Road to the junction with Boulge Road to facilitate gas works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Blacksmiths Road, the A12, Boulge Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/11/2025 - 19/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C764 TOSTOCK ROAD, BEYTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C764 Tostock Road, Beyton from the junction with Drinkstone Road for 130 metres eastbound to facilitate a sewer connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Norton Road, Tostock, The Green, Church Road, the A1088, Norton Road, Elmswell, Bury Road, The Street, Green Road, Pykotts Way, Woolpit Road, Beyton Road, Drinkstone Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/11/2025 - 07/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
