Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4 (1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the Order:
To revoke Limited Waiting Mon–Sat 8am–6pm 1 hour no return within 3 hours and replace with Payment Parking Place Mon–Sat 8am–6pm max stay 2 hours no return within 2 hours in Bocking End & The Causeway, Braintree (Pay by phone or payment machine charges first hour free and additional hour £2.80).
To revoke Limited Waiting Mon–Sat 8am–6pm 1 hour no return within 2 hours and replace with Payment Parking Place Mon–Sat 8am–6pm max stay 2 hours no return within 2 hours in The Centre, Halstead (Pay by phone or payment machine charges first hour free and additional hour £2.00)
To revoke Limited Waiting Mon–Sat 8am–6pm 1 hour no return within 3 hours and replace with Payment Parking Place Mon–Sat 8am–6pm max stay 2 hours no return within 2 hours in High Street, Halstead, southeast side (Pay by phone or payment machine charges first hour free and additional hour £2.00).
To revoke Limited Waiting Mon–Thurs & Sat 8am–6pm 1 hour no return within 3 hours and replace with Payment Parking Place Mon–Thurs & Sat 8am–6pm max stay 2 hours no return within 2 hours in High Street, Halstead, northwest side (Pay by phone or payment machine charges first hour free and additional hour £2.00).
To revoke Limited Waiting Mon–Sat 8am–6pm 1 hour no return within 3 hours and replace with Payment Parking Place Mon–Sat 8am–6pm max stay 2 hours no return within 2 hours in Newland Street, Witham between numbers 2 & 121 Newland Street, Witham (Pay by phone or payment machine charges first hour free and additional hour £2.80).
To amend Schedule 7 in The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 to append the items set out in Schedule 1 of this Order.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile numbers TL755 235, TL820 145, TL815 142 revision 0 with revision 1, TL820 147, TL755 232 & TL820 142 revision 1 with revision 2 and TL810 305 revision 2 with revision 3.

(Audley End, Gestingthorpe)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Audley End, Gestingthorpe in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 760m north west of its junction with Hedingham Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310790835 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Audley End, Moat Street, Hedingham Road, Broad Road, Hedingham Road, A131, Church Road, Bulmer Street, Lower Houses, Sudbury Road, Church Street, Audley End and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 30th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Brickhouse Road, Colne Engaine)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brickhouse Road, Colne Engaine in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 735m north east then south east of its junction with Pebmarsh Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310797438 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Brickhouse Road, Green Farm Road, The Green, Pebmarsh Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 30th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Catley Road, White Colne)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Catley Road, White Colne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Bures Road to its junction with Countess Cross Road a distance of approximately 1640m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2390307 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Countess Cross Road, Lawshall’s Hill, Colne Park Road, Colneford Hill, Colchester Road, Bures Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 31st October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(High Street Green, Sible Hedingham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street Green, Sible Hedingham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 115m south east of its junction with Graves Hall Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30093947250 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while disconnection/reconnection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Toppesfield Road, Carters Hill, Gainsford End Road, Great Yeldham Road, Toppesfield Road, A1017 and vice versa (with access only into Rectory Road, Prayors Hill, High Street Green and Delvin End).
The Order will come into effect on 30th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Pretoria Road, Halstead)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pretoria Road, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Colchester Road to its junction with Colne Road a distance of approximately 290m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2386879 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Colne Road, Head Street, Colchester Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 30th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
