MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED

What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary One Way Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC146149306: The City of Manchester (Wellington Road, Old Moat Ward)(Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Wellington Road One Way (from Mauldeth Road to Withington Library). The alternative routes for traffic will be: Lausanne Road, Hill Street, Mauldeth Road West. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order for installing new connection. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 3rd November 2025 to the 21st November 2025. The Order shall come into operation on the 3rd November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. ORDER NO. MCC146315429: The City of Manchester (Aldwych Avenue, Moss Side Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Aldwych Avenue From Eileen Avenue to its cul-de-sac-end. The alternative routes for traffic will be:N/A). The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 4th November 2025 to 7th November 2025. The order shall come into operation on 4th November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
