THE A12 TRUNK ROAD (COGGESHALL, ESSEX) EASTBOUND (TEMPORARY 30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the A120 Trunk Road in the County of Essex for public safety reasons due to subsistence on the carriageway.

The order will come into force at 15:00 hours on 28 October 2025 and remain in force until repairs have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months whichever is the earlier.

The effect of the Order will be to impose, for 24 hours daily, a temporary speed limit of 30 miles per hour on the eastbound carriageway of the A120 starting from a point 2900 metres east of the centre line opposite its junction with West Street on the Coggeshall Bypass for a distance of 200 metres.

The temporary speed limit (which will not apply to emergency service or special forces vehicles) will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
