Willington - Temporary Footpath Closures

Order 2025
The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of footpath:
An 85 metre length of footpath extending north east, north west and west from the rear of Number 28 Moorland Close.
A 30 metre length of Dovedale Road to the eastern side of Numbers 69 to 73.3.
A 40 metre length of Dovedale Road from side of Number 56 to the eastern side of Number 59.
An 18 metre length of Dovedale Road to the southern side of Numbers 62 to 64.
A 50 metre length from side Number 8 to 13 Wells Grove.
An 85 metre length of Chester Drive, including a 15 metre diagonal section between Numbers 5 to 20 to close gas main network works to be undertaken.
Other footways and footpaths will be available to pedestrians in the vicinity during the closure periods. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on Friday 7/11/2025 and are anticipated to be completed in 10 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
