What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U2095 BRIDEKIRK AND U2225 MILLBECK) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable surface dressing and trial hole works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

  1. U2095 Bridekirk from its junction with the A595, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 1km

    Alternative Route: via the C2038 and A595.

    Duration: From 10 November 2025 for approx. 13 days (Ref: TTROC/16224)

  2. U2225, Millbeck from its junction with the A591, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 100 metres

    Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U2225, U2226 and A591.

    Duration: From 10 November 2025 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/16240)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times

The Order will come into operation on 10 November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months.

However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
