What is happening?
(Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Order 2022 (Amendment No. 70) Order 202-
NOTICE is hereby given that Cambridgeshire County Council proposes to make the above named Order under the powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Traffic Management Act 2004.
The effect of this Order will be to introduce double yellow lines (no waiting at any time) on specific lengths of Meadowlands Road, The Homing and The Westering, Cambridge. This is to address concerns about indiscriminate parking, some of which is by non-residents, near to Newmarket Road and close to bends.

NOTICE is hereby given that Cambridgeshire County Council proposes to make the above named Order under the powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Traffic Management Act 2004.
The effect of this Order will be to introduce double yellow kerb marks (no loading at any time) to supplement the existing double yellow lines in Bene’t Street, Cambridge. In addition, the existing single yellow line (no waiting Mon-Sat 8.30am-6.30pm) outside The Eagle public house would be replaced with a loading bay. This is to address concerns about indiscriminate parking and loading, which obstructs larger vehicles at narrow points along this road and has caused damage to buildings.

(Various Roads, Barton) (Speed Limits) (Consolidation) Order 202-
NOTICE is hereby given that on 22nd October 2025 Cambridgeshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of this is to extend the 20mph speed limit on Comberton Road from 142m north-west of High Street to 365m north-west of Hines Close; and reduce the existing 40mph speed limit to 30mph Speed Limit on New Road from 80m east of Kings Grove to 46m west of A603 Cambridge Road.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the 22nd October 2025 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
