(THTTC3955 FOOTPATH WHEELERS ROAD, MIDSOMER NORTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 
14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to 
temporarily introduce a footpath closure in that length of Footpath Wheelers Road, Midsomer 
Norton from a point outside the rear of 24 Wheelers Road extending north and east for 
approximately 140 metres. USRN: 47905482.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the 
footpath to enable Openreach to lay duct from the 3rd November 2025 for a maximum period of 
6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be 
effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. 
Works are anticipated to be for FOUR DAYS between 09:30 - 15:30hrs.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 
14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to 
temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of The Street, Stowey from its junction with A368 
Wick Road extending south east to a point outside Manor Farm Cottage. USRN: 47917845.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road 
to enable National Grid to carry out overhead works/reconductoring from the 3rd November 2025
for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in 
position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to 
execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for FOUR DAYS.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 
14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to 
temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of B3355 The Pithay, Paulton from a point outside 
22 High Street extending south for approximately 80 metres. USRN: 47920649.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road 
to provide a safe working area for Openreach engineers to access existing telegraph pole(s) to 
provide fibre overhead cabling for a customer on the 6th November 2025 for a maximum period of 
6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be 
affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works 
are anticipated to be for ONE NIGHT between 18:00 - 06:00hrs.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road 
to enable Wales & West Utilities to alter and relay gas service for customer from the 18th November 
2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs 
are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is 
necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for FOUR DAYS. Access will be 
maintained for residents.

Keynsham from a point outside 200 Charlton Road. USRN: 47921638.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the 
footpath to enable Openreach engineers to access underground structure to provide fibre 
underground cabling on the 19th November 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will 
only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of 
the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for 
ONE DAY between 09:30 - 15:30hrs.

Hill, Compton Dando from its junction with Redlynch Lane extending south to its junction with

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road 
to enable Bristol Water to excavate trial holes to investigate ground and carry out water main 
renovation works from the 3rd November 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will 
only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of 
the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
Works will be carried out in 2 phases:
• Phase 1: Trial hole works between 3rd - 7th November 2025. Works are anticipated to be for 
FIVE DAYS.
• Phase 2: Water main renovation works between 5th - 30th January 2025. Works are anticipated 
to be for FOUR WEEKS.
