What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -
SECTION 14(1)(a) AND (7)
THE A500 TRUNK ROAD (NEAR M6 JUNCTION 16,
STAFFORDSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC IN LAYBY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways
Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an order
on the A500 trunk road, in the County of Staffordshire,
to allow resurfacing works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close the layby
adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the A500,
approximately 130 metres east of its roundabout
junction with the B5078 and the slip roads leading to
and from the M6 (M6 Junction 16).
The closure is expected to be in operation between
09:00 hours on Wednesday 12 November 2025 and
06:00 hours on Saturday 15 November 2025. The
Order will come into force on 5 November 2025.
Vehicles being used in connection with the works will
be exempt from the closure.
