Enfield, Temporary Road Closures Due To Essential Utility & Footway Works

What is happening?

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF ENFIELD

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

The Council of the London Borough of Enfield intend to make the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.

CHASE ROAD N14 – 4625

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: "At any time" on 25th October 2025 for 14 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to: Suspend parking on this road, from a point in line opposite and between Nos. 206-214, for works to be undertaken.

CHASE SIDE AVENUE, TRINITY STREET, CHASE SIDE EN2 – 4626

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: Between 08:00hrs on 1st November 2025 until 18:00hrs on 2nd November or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

Chase Side Avenue - Close this road at its junction with Chase Side and suspend parking between its junctions with Chase Side and Nunns Road on both sides of the road.

Trinity Street - Suspend parking on this road from a point between Nos. 1 and No.s 15/17 on both sides of the road.

Chase Side -Suspend parking from its junction with Chase Side Avenue to outside No.s 105/109 on both sides of the road.

Whilst the road is closed local diversions would be in place.

MANOR FARM ROAD EN1 – 4628

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: "At any time" on 3rd November 2025 for 1 week or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

Suspend parking on this road from its junction with Manor Court to outside No. 21 on both sides of the carriageway.

ARGON ROAD, N18 – 4629

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: "At any time" on 27th October 2025 for 5 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

Close the footpath westwards for approximately 50 metres from its junction with Harbet Road.

Close the westbound Cycle Lane for approximately 50 metres from its junction with Harbet Road.

Whilst the restrictions are in place, cyclists would be required to dismount and walk for the length of the cycle lane closure or join the main carriageway to continue cycling.

CHURCH STREET, THE TOWN EN2 – 4630

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Footway Works

Operational Date and times: "At any time" on 3rd November 2025 for 6 weeks or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

Church Street - Suspend parking on the loading bay on the north side outside Barclays Bank; and

The Town - Suspend parking on the motorcycle bay outside Natwest Bank; and suspend the loading bay outside of O’Neills Public House.

THE GREEN N9 – 4631

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: "At any time" on 3rd November 2025 for 4 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

To close the northbound cycle lane on this road, from its junction with Balham Road, westwards, for approximately 60 metres.

Whilst the restrictions are in place, cyclists would be required to dismount and walk for the length of the cycle lane closure or join the main carriageway to continue cycling.

CHASE SIDE N14 – 4632

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: "At any time" on 3rd November 2025 for 4 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

Suspend parking on the west side of the road between boundary of No.s 264/266 and No.s 274/276 for approximately 100 metres, on both sides of the carriageway.

HERTFORD ROAD N9 – 4633

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: "At any time" on 3rd November 2025 for 2 weeks or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

Hertford Road N9 – no right turn out of Monmouth Road; and

Hertford Road N9 – no right turn into Monmouth Road.

Whilst the restrictions are in force local diversions would be in place.

BIRKBECK ROAD, ARMFIELD ROAD, LANCASTER ROAD EN2 – 4635

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: Between 09:30-18:00 on 5th November for 1 day or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

Birkbeck Road - Close this road and suspend parking from its junction with Lancaster Road to No. 2c on both sides of the road; and

Armfield Road - Close this road and suspend parking at its junction with Lancaster Road, for approximately 30 metres on both sides of the road; and

Lancaster Road - To suspend parking between No.s 69-109 on both sides of the road.

Whilst the road is closed local diversions would be in place.
