What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PATHS THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (WEST BRIDGFORD FOOTPATH NO.12 AND NCN CYCLE ROUTE 15) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION ORDER 2025 |b|uNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN|b|u that the Secretary of State Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred by Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 approves of "The Nottinghamshire County Council (West Bridgford Footpath No.12 and NCN Cycle Route 15) (Temporary Prohibition) Order No.2 2025 (which came into force on 28th April 2025 and continues in force until 27th October 2025 inclusive) being extended and continuing in force until 27th April 2026 or until completion of the relevant works, whichever is the sooner. The Order has the following effect: - No person shall: - (a) proceed on foot, (b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed, in the following length of Footpath and Cycle Track at West Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe :- |b|uWest Bridgford Footpath No.12/ NCN Cycle Route 15|b|u Between Lady Bay Bridge and Trent Fields, a distance of 580 metres. |b|uAND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN|b|u that during the period of restriction there is no direct alternative route available on public rights of way. If the works are not completed within the above period, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the further approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
