DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE UNNAMED ROAD FROM BOTANY BAY TO HIGH STREET LINTON, SWADLINCOTE

What is happening?

WHEN: 26 November 2025.
WHERE: Unnamed Road from Botany Bay to High Street,
Linton, Swadlincote from its Jct. with Fernlea Drive for an
approx. distance of 1.5km southwest.
REASON: To facilitate installation of telecommunication
poles.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Unnamed Road from Botany Bay
to High Street Linton, High Street, Warren Drive, Cauldwell
Road, Linton Road, Unnamed Road from C181 to C17
Linton Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible,
on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as
soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than
advertised. Anyone needing further information should
ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County
Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its
