What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the
following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000146333675:
The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Ardwick Ward)
(Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2025 under s14 of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the
Order is to prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian)
from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle
lane: Wilmslow Road, From Hathersage Road to number 8
Wilmslow Road.The City Council is satisfied that this
prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Survey works
within the Manholes. It is expected that the works will
be in progress from 3rd November 2025 to 4th November
2025 between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 The order
shall come into operation on 3rd November 2025and may
remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If
all necessary works are completed within a shorter period,
the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter
