THE HARINGEY (HARINGEY PASSAGE & BURGHLEY ROAD N8)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC/USE) ORDER 2025

The Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to make the above Temporary Traffic Order under S14(1) Road Traffic Regulation Order 1984 (as described below:-

Burghley Road & Haringey Passage N8

Reason for 14(1) Order – To enable shopfront refurbishment works on Turnpike Lane, N8

Scheduled dates

General Effect of the Order

Date: Monday 10th November 2025 to Friday 30th January 2026 Time: 24hrs

Suspension of Resident Permit Holders bays and installation on no waiting/no loading at any time on the west side of Burghley Road, N8 outside No.1 and adjacent electricity substation.

Dates:

First closure: 10th – 11th November 2025 (erect scaffolding)

Second closure: 12th December 2025 (dismantle scaffolding)

Times: 8am–5pm

Footpath closure of Haringey Passage N8 (known as public right of way 130-131), between the junctions with Turnpike Lane and Sydney Road.

Pedestrian diversion route will be available via Turnpike Lane, Willoughby Road, Sydney Road and vice versa. Access to resident entrances to be maintained.

The order will come into operation on 10th November 2025 and may continue in force for up to 6 months or until works have been completed, whichever is earlier.

The provisions of the Orders shall apply only at such times and as directed by traffic signs.

For road closures, alternative routes will be directed by traffic signs. Access will be maintained where possible.
