LONDON BOROUGH OF NEWHAM
EXCEL LONDON HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT WORKS
THE NEWHAM (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (NO. 4) TRAFFIC ORDER 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham (‘the Council’) on 20 October 2025 made the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit motor vehicles from entering into or proceeding in that length of un-named carriageway located at the south-western exit of the Festoon Way roundabout south-westward for a distance of 23.7 metres (as much as is public highway). This will facilitate the soft landscaping of the existing carriageway surface and the provision of a new pedestrian footway.
3. Copies of the Order, which will come into force on 27 October 2025 and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection by appointment during normal office hours at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, by telephoning 020 3373 6415 or by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
4. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
Dated 22 October 2025
