What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (BRANKSOME HILL ROAD, SANDHURST) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council has made an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:
a) Branksome Hill Road, Sandhurst in both directions between the junctions of Richmond Road and Florence Road.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via: Branksome Hill Road, Richmond Road, College Road, Yorktown Road, Branksome Hill Road and this route reversed.
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while South East Water carry out works on a water main in the carriageway.
The Order came into operation on the 27th October 2025 and has a maximum duration of 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the closure will be in place until 31st October 2025.
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
