What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – DOWN FARM LANE, HEADBOURNE WORTHY, WINCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED:

That part of Down Farm Lane between its junction with A272 Roundabout and its junction with Well House Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

Diverted traffic from the A272 roundabout will use Andover Road North and Well House Lane. Due to the low train bridge with a 2.9m height restriction, provisions will be made for any large vehicles exiting or wishing to enter the golf academy at the A272 roundabout end.

DURATION OF ORDER:

From Monday 3rd November 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day working between the hours 21:00–06:00).

The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Kier Transportation to complete removal of trees. If there are any queries or enquiries regarding this Order please contact: info@nationalhighways.co.uk
