What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE –

DERRITT LANE, SOPLEY, NEW FOREST

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED:

That part of Derritt Lane between its junction with Marryat Way and its junction with Harpway Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

Derritt Lane, B3347, Burley Road, Ringwood Road.

DURATION OF ORDER:

From Monday 3rd November 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 3 weeks and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day).

The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Connect It Utility Services to complete gas and water connection. If there are any queries or enquiries regarding this Order please contact: nrswa@cius.co.uk
