What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – CHAPEL LANE, ITCHEN VALLEY, WINCHESTER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED:
That part of Chapel Lane between its junction with Fair Lane and its junction with Easton Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
Chapel Lane, Avington Park Lane, Avington Road, A31 Alresford Road, Chapel Lane.
DURATION OF ORDER:
From Wednesday 5th November 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day working between the hours 08:00–16:30).
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for SSEN to complete. If 11kV transformer replacement there are any queries or enquiries regarding this Order please contact: bill.brown@sse.com
