What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford has made under Section
14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 SALFORD
CITY COUNCIL (GORE STREET PROHIBITION
OF RIGHT TURN) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC
REGULATION ORDER 2025.
The Order will introduce a prohibition of a right turn on
Gore Street towards New Bailey Street, Salford. The Order
is necessary as there is not enough safe width for vehicles
to turn right from Gore Street to New Bailey Street. The
order is due to come into operation on Friday 7th November
2025 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the
works are completed if earlier. The works are expected
to be completed by January 2026. The diversion routes
are via Chapel Street - Trinity Way - Irwell Street - New
Quay Street - Gartside Street - Bridge Street - New Bailey
Street. A copy of the Order and plans of the area may be
requested by contacting Salford City Council Street Works
team via the email street.works@salford.gov.uk or the
postal address below:
