What is happening?
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made
under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping
up of Highways (South West) (No.15) Order 2025”
authorising the stopping up of a southern part width of
Bread Street and an irregular shaped northern part width
of The Greenmarket at its junction with Causewayhead.
This is to enable development as permitted by Cornwall
Council under reference PA24/06493.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge,
from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework
Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or
nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/SW/
S247/6013). They may also be inspected during normal
opening hours at Penzance Town Council, Penlee Centre,
Penlee Park, Penzance, TR18 4HE.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the
decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court
within 6 weeks from 30 October 2025.
