DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE SUTTON LANE, HILTON

What is happening?

WHEN: 20 November to 26 November 2025 (between the hours of 19:00 to 05:00)
WHERE: Sutton Lane, Hilton from its Jct. with Dale End Lane for an approx. distance of 390m north.
REASON: To facilitate bridge joint replacement on structure over A50 network.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sutton Lane, Main Street, Uttoxeter Road, Derby Road, Sutton Lane, Limbersitch Lane, Schoolpiece Lane, Common Lane, Marlpit Lane, Dish Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
