What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED) Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC146308001: The City of Manchester (Alan Turing Way, Clayton & Openshaw Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Alan Turing Way. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Ashton New Road, Merrill Street, Pollard Street, Great Ancoats Street, Oldham Road, Hulme Hall Lane. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to reset frame and cover. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 2nd November 2025 to 3rd November 2025 between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00. The order shall come into operation on 2nd November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
