DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE SAWLEY ROAD, BREASTON
What is happening?
WHEN: 17 November to 28 November 2025
WHERE: Sawley Road, Breaston from 50m north west of
the M1 overbridge, for approx. 600m.
REASON: To facilitate closure of existing entrance to the
water treatment plant and associated remedial works in line
with planning regulations.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Draycott Road, Tamworth Road,
Wilne Road, Wilne Lane, Sawley Road, Station Road, Main
Street, The Green, Wilsthorpe Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible,
on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as
soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than
advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring

has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by
