Cambridgeshire – Multiple Temporary Road and Footpath Closures due to Utility Works

What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

High Street A1123, Earith Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1880

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street A1123, Earith as lies between Bridge End & B1050. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1123; B1050; A1307; A1096; A1123 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water supply disconnection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/5/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3/11 & 5/11/25.

Warboys Road, Old Hurst Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1907

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Warboys Road, Old Hurst as lies between Church Street & St Ives Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Church St; The Ln; St Ives Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/5/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 3/11 to 6/11/25.

Church Street, Old Hurst Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1908

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Street, Old Hurst as lies between Warboys Road & The Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Church St, The Ln, St Ives Rd, Warboys Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/5/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 5/11 to 12/11/25.

The Lane, Old Hurst Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1909

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along The Lane, Old Hurst as lies between Church Street & St Ives Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via St Ives Rd, Warboys Rd, Church St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 10/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 9/5/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 10/11 to 14/11/25.

Broughton Lane, Warboys Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1911

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Broughton Lane, Warboys as lies between A141 & Broughton Lane, Broughton. The alternative route for vehicles is via Broughton Ln; Broughton; Warboys Rd; Bridge Rd; A141; Broughton Ln, Warboys & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/5/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 12/11 to 17/11/25.

Parkhall Road, Somersham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1927

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Parkhall Road, Somersham as lies between Pawsitive & The Trundle. The alternative route for vehicles is via Parkhall Rd; Short Drove; Long Drove; B1050; B1086; Parkhall Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 4/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 3/5/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4/11 & 6/11/25.

Footpath From Cromwell Road To St Neots Footpath 55, St Neots Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2025-2005

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath From Cromwell Rd To St Neots Footpath 55, St Neots as lies between No.11 & car park. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sluice valve repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 4/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 3/5/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4/11 & 6/11/25.

Conington Lane C89, Conington Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-2024

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Conington Lane C89, Conington as lies between Rectory Cottage & Yew Tree Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via Conington Ln C89; B1043; B660; Pingle Bank C89, Holme; Church Rd C89, Conington; The Green C89 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/5/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs & 15:30hrs 19/11/25.

Main Street, Caldecote Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-2031

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Main St, Caldecote as lies between Burr Elm Court & Orchard Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via Main St, Kingston; B1046; Hardwick Rd, Toft; Toft Rd, Hardwick; Main St; Cambridge Rd; St Neots Rd; St Neots Rd, Dry Drayton; St Neots Rd, Caldecote; Highfields Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 20/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 19/5/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs 20/11 & 17:00hrs 21/11/25.

Cambridge Road W/Bound, Fenstanton Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2025-2041

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Cambridge Road W/Bound, Fenstanton as lies between Depot & West End Road. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary in the interests of public safety due to footway surface defects & it will come into operation on 29/10/25 & will remain in force until the risk is removed or on the 28/4/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 29/10/25 & 28/4/26.

Newtown Road, Ramsey Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-2050

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Newtown Road, Ramsey as lies between Conley Close & Stocking Fen Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Stocking Fen Rd; B1040; New Rd; Newtown Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate main laying, water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/5/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3/11 & 9/11/25.

Ramsey Road, St Ives Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-2057

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ramsey Rd, St Ives as lies between Edinburgh Drive & Elm Drive. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1123, Hill Rise & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate lining works for traffic signals & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/5/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19:00hrs 17/11 & 05:00hrs 16/12/25.

Bec Road, St Neots Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-2058

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bec Rd, St Neots as lies between Tan Yard & Priory Ln. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate lining & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 10/11/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 9/5/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 18:00hrs 10/11 & 07:00hrs 12/11/25.

Ramsey Footpath 4, Ramsey Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2025-2084

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Ramsey Footpath 4, Ramsey as lies between West Avenue & Ramsey Footpath 5. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate vegetation clearance, improvements & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 10/1/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 9/5/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 10/11 & 5/12/25. Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
