THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SWANSEA CYNGOR DINAS A SIR ABERTAWE TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES BUTTERSLADE GROVE, GOETRE FAWR ROAD, RIDGEWAY, GLYNHIR ROAD, PONTARDULAIS ROAD, ROUNDABOUT A48 PENLLERGAER TO LLANGYFELACH LINK SWANSEA NOTICE 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City and County of Swansea in pursuance of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intend to make an Order. In order for Swansea Council to undertake resurfacing works, it will be necessary to temporarily close the above-named road to vehicular traffic. SCHEDULE SCHEDULE 1 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE BUTTERSLADE GROVE, MORRISTON - 03/11/25 TO 07/11/25 (18:00 to 0:00) Butterslade Grove from it's junction with Heol Glan Nant in a southeasterly direction to it's junction with Christopher Road, distance of approximately 400 metres. The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Christopher Road, B4603 Clydach Road, A4067 Ynysforgan Roundabout, C165 Llanllienwen Road, C165 Heol Maes Eglwys, Rhodfa Fadog and Heol Glan Nant, a distance of approximately 3 kilometres. Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction, drawing No 4465A SCHEDULE 2 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE B4296 GOETRE FAWR ROAD, KILLAY - 10/11/25 TO 13/11/25 (20:00 to 06:00) B4296 Goetre Fawr Road from its junction with Broadmead in a southerly direction to its junction with A4118 Gower Road a distance of approximately 300 metres The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the unaffected section of B4296 Goetre Fawr Road, Dunvant Road, Wimmerfield Drive and A4118 Gower Road, a distance of approximately 2.3 kilometres. Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction, drawing No 4465B SCHEDULE 3 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE RIDGEWAY, KILLAY - 13/11/25 TO 18/11/25 (09.00 TO 17.00) Ridgeway from its junction with Broadmead in an easterly direction to its junction with B4296 Goetre Fawr Road, a distance of approximately 650 metres The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B4296 Goetre Fawr Road and Broadmead, a distance of approximately 500 metres, Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction, drawing No 4465C. SCHEDULE 4 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE B4296 PONTARDULAIS ROAD, GORSEINON - 19/11/25 TO 25/11/25 (20.00 TO 06.00) B4296 Pontardulais Road from its junction with Brynteg Road in a northerly direction to its junction with A4240 High Street, a distance of approximately 430 metres The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A4240 High Street, Heol Y Mynydd and the unaffected section of B4296 Pontardulais Road, a distance of approximately 2.25 kilometres, Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction, drawing No 4465D. SCHEDULE 5 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE C162 GLYNHIR ROAD, PONTARDDULAIS - 25/11/25 TO 28/11/25 (18.00 TO 0.00) C162 Glynhir Road from its junction with Heol Y Maes in a northerly direction to its junction with Heol Y Waun, a distance of approximately 450 metres The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Heol Y Maes and Heol Y Waun, a distance of approximately 550 metres, Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction, drawing No 4465E. SCHEDULE 6 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ROUNDABOUT A48 PENLLERGAER TO LLANGYFELACH LINK - 01/12/25 TO 05/12/25 (18.00 TO 06.00) Roundabout A48 Penllergaer to Llangyfelach Link Road at its junction with Heol Y Ddraig a distance of approximately 50 metres The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be the unaffected section of A48 Penllergaer to Llangyfelach Link, Unnamed A483 Penllergaer to Cadle, A483 Pontardulais Road, A483 Carmarthen Road, Ravenhill Road, Mynydd Newydd Road, Heol Ddu, Llangyfelach Road, Swansea Road and the unaffected section of A48 Penllergaer to Llangyfelach Link, a distance of approximately 18.6 kilometres Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction, drawing No 4465F Access for emergency vehicles to be maintained at all times.
