NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough have made the following Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act. The Order will come into operation on 31st October 2025 and will amend the Schedules of The Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough (Central & North Area) (Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 as listed in the First Schedule and The Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough (East & West Area) (Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2024 as listed in the Second Schedule hereto. Exemptions will apply to any vehicle to be used for emergency purposes by the fire brigade, ambulance service or police. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with that person may, within six weeks from the date of this notice apply for that purpose to the High Court.
