MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC146197298: The City of Manchester (Northenden Footway Resurfacing, Northenden Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Newhey Avenue, Newhey Road, Overton Avenue and Overton Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate footway resurfacing works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 10th November 2025 to the 28th November 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 10th November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 27th October 2025. ORDER NO. MCC146200878: The City of Manchester (Newstead Avenue, Withington Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Newstead Avenue. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate de-looping houses so they have own electricity supply. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 10th November 2025 to the 21st November 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 10th November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
